The two counters are family-wide, covering cars as well as boats. We label them that way everywhere they appear rather than letting the boats side look bigger than it is.

The mark and the lockup

The mark is a reticle with a center console in the crosshairs, and it is the same ring CarSnipe uses with a different glyph. The ring is hollow, so the background shows through it: pick the variant that suits the surface rather than putting the light one on white. Use it as supplied, leave clear space around it equal to at least half its width, and please do not recolor, rotate, stretch or add effects to it.

Three files, each already at the size Facebook wants, so nothing gets stretched or cropped through the middle of the mark on upload.

Square file, shown as a circle. Facebook renders it small, from the header down to a thumbnail beside a comment, so it ships large and the mark sits well inside the circle with nothing near the crop. Minimum Facebook accepts is 180 × 180.

Facebook shows a cover at 820 × 312 on a desktop and 640 × 360 on a phone. The phone box is taller in proportion, so it keeps the full height and crops the sides. This file is the desktop size at 2× with the lockup centered, which puts it inside the strip both crops keep.

Palette and type

The system is called Waterline. Deep navy is the water, aqua is the signal, and the sun color is reserved for anything a reader is meant to act on.

Headings are set in Sora, body copy in DM Sans, and numbers, labels and anything readout-like in DM Mono. All three are open licensed, so you can set a headline in them without asking.
